When changing the mirror make sure to carefully tighten the screws until HAND TIGHT. Applying more pressure will make the screw turn in the plastic and ruin your mirror.

The mirror itself is made of tempered optical grade glass making it extremely scratch resistant and durable.
The mirror body and cap will help protect the glass from impacts. However, repeated impacts on the mirror itself could result in the glass breaking.
